Guided tour

In the depot you can participate in a guided tour. Sign up for this free of charge tour at the desk in the entrance area. During this tour, you and other visitors will visit different workspaces, see the artworks up close and hear more about the building, the management and preservation of a collection. The guided tours last 30 minutes.

Group tour

It is possible to book a private group tour. During this tour you will visit different workspaces, see the works of art up close and hear more about the building, the management and preservation of a collection. Group tours are available in Dutch, English, German or French. The tour lasts 60 minutes and is for a maximum of 13 people per group.

A display of highlights from the museum’s collection is now on view in the Depot. Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen is a working building and visitors were able to follow the construction. This is a test set-up in preparation for a larger exhibition later this year.

Symposium: Opening Up! Collection Centre Strategies deel II

On Friday, the 13th of May 2022, the second part of Opening Up! Collection Center Strategies - a symposium on the development of publicly accessible depots - will be held in collaboration with Stichting Behoud Moderne Kunst (SBMK). The program includes five presentations, a lunch, and extensive guided tours in groups through the depot, including the depot compartments containing our own collection as well as the compartments with external collections.
