Marijke van Warmerdams vision of the world is light, often humorous, surprising and often breathtaking. In her work Van Warmerdam shows us the everyday world that surrounds us from an unexpected viewpoint. Filmmaker Rudolf Evenhuis made a short film about Marijke van Warmerdam. This film can be seen in the auditorium of the museum on several saturdays.

The film features interviews with Marlene Dumas, gallerist Kees van Gelder, guest curator Jan Debbaut and curator Lynne Cooke.

This autumn the museum is presenting a retrospective exhibition of Marijke van Warmerdam. In addition to the film loops with which she achieved international recognition in the 1990s, the exhibtion includes photo works, sculptures, installations and painted film stills on canvas.
