This spring Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen is taking crafts as its principal theme. An exhibition with more than 500 objects presents the most exceptional examples of artistic crafts. With a complementary programme of demonstrations of traditional techniques, films and documentaries, markets and a whole variety of workshops, Hand Made truly brings crafts to life!

Hand Made Market

On Sunday, May 12th, there is an exclusive Hand Made Market at the museum. Professional designers, craftsmen and artists display their products. Visitors can purchase exclusive and handcrafted art and design objects directly from the designers or makers. Combine your visit to the market with the exhibition Hand Made: Long Live Crafts with demonstrations by Frans Dingemanse (woodcarvering) and DVDV design (3d printing). Or take a look in the Espressobar where Wouter Strietman demonstrates his espressomachine the ES2.

Participants
Some of the participant where already seen in the exhibition Hand Made! Long Live Crafts. JONGHLABEL and Granny's Finest showed their crafts but are also represented on the market. Designers like Bas van Beek, Brechje Vermaat (studioiets.nl) and Ipek Kotan represent contemporary and exclusive design and different representative of deisgnstudio's are present.
