Ulrike Wiebel was granted the title master violin maker in Hamburg in 1992. She has worked as an independent violin maker in Leiden since 1994. In addition to building new instruments, she also repairs and restores old instruments. Her skills are employed in the service of producing a beautiful tone. As a violin maker, Wiebel turns the musician’s sonic aspirations into a finely tuned instrument.
Handsome Wardrobe is a range of accessories by Annemarie te Stroet, who became fascinated by gloves during her studies in product design. Last autumn Annemarie visited a Hungarian glove factory, which translated her idiosyncratic sketches into wearable gloves. The designer wants to breathe new life into the beautiful and complex craft of glove making. So she is returning to Hungary this summer to begin production of an innovative collection of gloves.
