from September 27 2008 until June 10 2009
On Saturday 27 September, 2008, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen will be presenting a completely renovated entrance area during the grand seasonal opening. Leading designers have created a transition area where art blends with everyday reality. A place that highlights and interconnects public functions. This entrance area is open to everyone free of charge.
The new entrance area can be reached via the museum’s courtyard and covers the entire ground floor of the exhibition building designed by architect Alexander Bodon (1973), as well as the 2003 extension designed by architects Robbrecht and Daem. At the museum’s invitation, six leading designers have gone into partnership for the occasion under the name Haunting Dogs Full of Grace. Their innovative designs restore the contact with the street, the courtyard and the museum park.
