The museum’s restaurant is housed in the Pavilion designed in 1991 by Huber-Jan Henket. The light-filled, transparent space with a view over the museum’s garden is a delightful location for lunch or afternoon tea. The restaurant is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11.00 to 17.00 and serves salads, soup, sandwiches, coffee, tea, soft drinks, beer and wine.
Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen opened the Espresso Bar in 2008. This informal café, designed by Simon Heijdens, serves excellent espresso and cappuccino, tea, soft drinks and pastries, also on the go. It is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 (an hour before the museum opens) to 17.30 and is accessible without a ticket to the museum.
The walls of the Espresso Bar are the site for a changing programme of wall paintings. Venetian Red, a new series of unique designs by Johan van Oord, is now on show.
There are two Rotterdam hotspot network connections in the museum. The Pavilion and the Espresso Bar offer you wireless Internet for free.
