Whereas the museum was once a municipal institution, it is now a foundation with a Supervisory Board. Nonetheless City of Rotterdam remains one of our foremost partners. Thanks to the city’s structural support and commitment the museum is among the top five museums in the Netherlands and occupies an important international position.
