Special Benefactors Business Circle

The city of Rotterdam and the museum are closely entwined, in part thanks to the commitment of local businesses. Since 1988, dozens of companies have been supporting Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen on an annual basis. At the moment more than 40 companies belong to this Business Circle.

Help us to undertake ventures for the city

The donations of the Special Benefactors are used as a guarantee fund that enables us to stage one blockbuster exhibition every year. High-profile exhibitions of this kind, such as those about Kees van Dongen and Van Eyck, are important for the city as well as the museum. This is how the Special Benefactors help us to be innovative in the ventures we undertake.

In 2013 the Special Benefactors are supporting the ‘Oskar Kokoschka – Portraits of People and Animals’ exhibition.

Reasons to become a Special Benefactor

With a donation of at least €2,500 per calendar year you can become part of the Business Circle and will enjoy the following advantages:

  • Become part of an interesting network of businesspeople who are enthusiastic supporters of the city, the museum and the arts.
  • Become more familiar with the museum during exclusive receptions, at the museum as well as external venues.
  • Inspire others by staging corporate events at the museum. You are entitled to a 15% discount on the cost of venue hire.
  • Thanks to your company name being mentioned on our website and in annual reports, and the option to use our logo in your own marketing and publicity, a broader public will be made aware of your important commitment to the museum.
  • With the 5 annual passes granting unlimited free admission to the museum, your colleagues and business relations can enjoy the museum as well.
  • Your donation is a tax-deductible item for corporation tax purposes.
