A weekend full of art and culture

In the weekend of 14 September Rotterdam is the stage for a host of historical and cultural activities. With the art festival ‘The World of the Witte de With Quarter’, a 24-hour cultural programme and the national farewell to former Queen Beatrix.

Sneak peek guided tours
One week later, on 21 September, sees the opening of the exhibition ‘Oskar Kokoschka - Portraits of People and Animals. On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September the museum is offering free ‘sneak peek’ guided tours of selected works by Kokoschka. Take inspiration from this artist in the lead-up to the opening.

The World of the Witte de With Quarter
This year’s theme is ‘Light up’! Art institutions around the Witte de Withstraat are joining forces to let visitors discover art and culture. Read more about The World of the Witte de With Quarter.

24-Hour Culture
In 24-Hour Culture, from 5.00 p.m. on Saturday 14 September until 5.00 p.m. on Sunday 15 September the city will be filled with theatre, dance, visual art, music and cinema.
