Jennie van Haren (29) from Amsterdam will be enjoying a mini-trip to New York in May. She will visit the studio of Jeff Koons and attend a special auction at Sotheby’s.
In the weeks around Easter, visitors to the museum had the chance to win a mini-trip to NYC with a visit to the studio of Jeff Koons and attendance at a special evening auction at Sotheby’s. Visitors to the museum could fill in a card, explaining exactly why they should win the trip. A total of 633 people submitted a card with their reasons. Around twenty people tried to get the better of the museum and slipped several cards into the glass box. On Tuesday 10 April, a notary public from Ploum Lodder Princen drew three cards. Director Sjarel Ex and curate Saskia van Kampen chose the best reason of the three. The winner is: Jennie van Haren (29) from Amsterdam with her reason “... to exchange the chocolate eggs for big apples”. Jennie was pleasantly surprised that she will soon be visiting the studio of Koons.
