The museum library’s catalogue has been online since January, allowing you to look up items at home. You can search for publications from the museum’s vast collection of books.
With more than 120,000 titles, Boijmans’ library is one of the largest art libraries in the Netherlands. The collection includes books, auction and exhibition catalogues, and magazines and journals on artists and movements that are well represented in the museum’s collections. One of the library’s eye-catchers is the collection of Surrealist publications.
The library was originally founded to support the museum’s curatorial staff. Today members of the public can also consult the library’s collection. And now you can access the online catalogue anywhere in the world. Consult the online catalogue here.
The library is not a lending library, but you can consult items in the reading room with an appointment. The library is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11.00 am to 4.30 pm.
