This year’s Rotterdam Museum Night is being held on 5 March, which coincides with the opening of the ‘Snakes knows it’s Yoga’ exhibition by Nathalie Djurberg and Hans Berg. During the Museum Night, Berg will be accompanying Djurberg’s animations with live music.
Djurberg and Berg have created an installation for the 1,500m2 of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen’s spacious Bodon Gallery. The ‘Snakes knows it’s Yoga’ installation is a project composed of sculptures and projections, the air filled with experimental music by Hans Berg. The presentation includes eight earlier works from the period 2005-2010, in which Djurberg addresses themes such as obsession, power, pleasure, desire and violence. The exhibition can be visited from 5 March through until 1 May.
During the Museum Night there are guided tours for people of all ages. In the Art Studio you can create your own work of art, you might want to pose for a photo, or you can simply enjoy a drink and a dance in the Espresso Bar.
