The final episode before the summer break will be broadcast on Wednesday 26 May at 17.40. Boijmans TV will continue in the autumn with a further seven episodes. Boijmans TV is broadcast weekly on the regional station TV Rijnmond.

Boijmans TV is a new programme about art, based on an idea of Wilfried de Jong. It is more than an art magazine. We meet not only artists but also the museum’s visitors, the guard and one of the museum’s technicians.

Each episode of Boijmans TV follows three characters. The guide shows a group of visitors around the permanent collection, focussing on a particular art work in each episode. The guard chats with an artist about the ideas behind his or her works. The technician encounters all manner of intriguing situations while replacing a lamp or fixing a plinth in the galleries.

Boijmans TV is a partnership between Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, RTV Rijnmond, Popov Film and RO Theater, developed with the support of the VSBfonds – Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen’s education partner, the Stimuleringsfonds Nederlandse Culturele Mediaproducties and the Rotterdam Media Fonds. Directed by Sander Burger and Jetse Batelaan.

Following its television broadcast, each episode of Boijmans TV can be seen on Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen’s online video channel at and on RTV Rijnmond’s website.
