The new website about the online collection shows a selection of several hundred highlights from the collection including images, informative texts and specially selected links and videos on ArtTube, the museum’s online video channel.

Help us tag the collection
You can help us to make this website work better. During the development of the online collection we have noticed that visitors often use very different search terms to those used by the museum’s curators and registrars.

For this reason, we have made it possible for you to add your own tags or search terms to objects in the online collection.. This will improve other users’ ability to find objects and will also make it possible to make other connections within the collection, for example to find all red objects or all the works that depict a dog.

The more tags there are, the easier it will be to find objects in the collection: so log in and get tagging.

Art Studio: Boijmans online
There is currently an exhibition in the Art Studio, the museum’s education space, about ArtTube and the online collection in which you can explore all the facets of these online presentations. You will gain a special insight into the various layers of these new websites of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen.

The online collection website has been made possible by a generous contribution from the VSBfonds, the museum’s education partner which also supports three other platforms: the Art Studio, the online video channel ArtTube and the television programme Boijmans TV.
