Must-see: Wereldmuseum

Roy Villevoye's work is inspired by the Asmat people. When you would like to know more on their culture, mark the 9th of September 2009 in your diary. The Wereldmuseum (World Museum) in Rotterdam will then reopen for the public after an extensive reconstruction. With its ethnographic collection the museum offers a unique opportunity to learn about world cultures, their rituals, stories and sacred objects. The Wereldmuseum has one of the best Oceania collections in the world. There’s free admission to the a permanent display where top objects from the New Guinea collection will be presented.
